Why Give to Missions?
Because there are still PEOPLE who need to hear the Good News!
If you were raised in a Christian culture, it is easy to think there are sufficient churches in the world and everyone has had the oportunity to know about their need for Christ. However, that is not so in other countries. Although Missionaries have been going to foreign countries for decades there are still so many who have not been reached with the Gospel.
In our six years of ministry in the Canaries, most everyone who has accepted Christ as their Savior, is a first generation Christian. They are standing alone in their faith while they are believing for other family members to accept Christ.
There is also a great need for church planting. In the Islands, currently there is one evangelical church for every 30,000 people! The local people take two or three public buses enroute to come to church. While many others don´t have a church within hours of their barrio.
